The making of a great accreditation professional

Healthcare accreditation and compliance is made of numerous moving parts and requires a great deal from the people who work in it. The role is more than staying updated on all the standards and regulations from CMS, The Joint Commission (TJC), or other authorities having jurisdiction. It also involves reviewing vast quantities of documents and inspecting your facility’s physical environment. It requires cooperating and collaborating with health staff and leadership, sometimes at multiple campuses or buildings. It calls for keeping track of ongoing projects like building renovations that could lead to problems.
