Survey eye in the sky
Every survey is a little bit different, but during Maine Medical Partners' most recent survey visit by The Joint Commission, it saw something no one had ever encountered before: The surveyors locked themselves in the bathroom. On purpose. "I've never seen surveyors be quite this interactive," says Heather Forbes, RN, BSN, CEN, CSHA, HACP, clinical education program coordinator. "Two of them went in together and said, 'We're going to see how long it takes for you to get us out.'"
