CMS to reward 1,800 hospitals through VBP program in 2016

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will reward 1,800 hospitals through its value-based purchasing (VBP) program in fiscal 2016, an increase of about 160 hospitals from the previous year, according to Modern Healthcare.
Meanwhile, 475 hospitals saw their fortunes change from a penalty to a bonus; another 317 will receive lower payments.
