Will you create TJC’s next Emergency Preparedness poster?

By Brian Ward

Do you have an idea for an emergency preparedness poster? The Joint Commission (TJC) is interested. The accreditor put out a call for abstracts for emergency preparedness posters in the December Perspectives. Selected posters will be exhibited at the Emergency Management Standards Base Camp on April 21, and at the 2020 Emergency Preparedness Conference  on April 21 and 23.

The contest is in collaboration with Joint Commission Resources and the Yale New Haven

Health System Center for Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response (YNHHS-CEPDR).

The submission deadline is January 10, 2020, and you can submit multiple abstracts. Offer your idea to TJC using this link (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2020JCREPPoster ) and each submission must include:

  • The poster title
  • A description of the topics covered
  • How this information can help other organizations
  • The poster authors, in the order you want them to appear
  • The TJC standards and elements of performance addressed in your poster

For more information about abstract submission or the poster presentation, e-mail YNHHS-CEPDR or call 203-688-3437.
